Authorities arrested a Hyde Park man today on five counts of human sex trafficking, the US Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
Darrell Bryan Graham, 50, was charged with two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and three counts of interstate transportation for the purposes of prostitution, officials said.
Graham allegedly “used force, fraud or coercion to recruit, entice, harbor and transport two women to engage in a commercial sex act” and benefitted financially, officials said.
One incident involved a female in or around August and September of 2011. Graham allegedly transported her from Massachusetts to New Jersey, Vermont, and Pennsylvania, for prostitution, officials said.
If convicted, Graham faces 15 years to life in prison, five years of supervision, and a $250,000 fine on each of the sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion charges, officials said
Graham also faces up to 10 years in prison, three years of supervision, and a $250,000 fine on each count of the transportation of a person to engage in prostitution, officials said.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11 for a detention hearing.
